Not so much mp5? That's because paladins are expected to regen most of their mana via Divine Plea and critical heals now. Has a lot of mp5 doesn't it? Now go and look at the majority of plate healing gear. Now go ahead and look at the majority of mail healing gear. Rate me down if you like, but this shield is a much bigger upgrade for a paladin or an elemental shaman than it is for a resto Zulathar:Īs for the crit rating being better for a resto shaman than it is for a paladin now, I understand that Shamans (via improved water shield I believe) get 500 mana returned on crits, whereas a paladin gets mana regen 60% of the mana cost of the heal (base mana cost, not including talent and/or gear reductions) on critical heals.

So those of you who actually NEED the stats on this shield watch out for other fools who feel they deserve it based on a minimal gain of mana regen.
Nevermind the crit/haste combination clearly making this a bigger upgrade for a paladin or an elemental shaman.

Comment by 179709I had this ninja'd from me by a resto shaman last night on the grounds that it has a whole six more intellect than Shield of Assimilation.
